1 DAY PER WEEK FOR 12 WEEKS

OUTLINE

This is a day time beginners course which meets one day per week for three months. The teaching will begin with some basic skills building in research,and materials exploration.

Throughout the course traditional jewellery making techniques will be taught and there will be ample opportunity to experiment and expand on your knowledge in a fully equipped workshop. You will learn how to work with silver and other metals and take an experimental approach to making.

Each week you will be given an optional homework where you are asked to research and experiment with different materials and ideas. The homework outcome then serves as inspiration for some of the skills you will learn in the class. There will be several short design projects throughout the course and regular peer discussion to push your ideas further.

By the end of the course you will have learnt some of the essential jewellery making skills and techniques and will have made some simple pieces of jewellery.

10:00AM - 4:00PM for Friday and Saturday courses

11:00AM - 5:00PM for Tuesday course
