OUTLINE
This stone setting class is ideal for intermediate students and jewellery practitioners who would like to advance their jewellery makings skills by learning some simple but effective stone setting techniques. You will learn several types of setting such as flush setting, tube setting and basket setting. For each of these settings you can use a variety of stones and cuts to set into silver.
The course will be structured around learning and perfecting the techniques and you will also have an opportunity to apply a few techniques to make finished pieces.
During the 1 week Stone Setting course, we will supply non-precious stones and metal for the practice pieces and silver to make 2 finished pieces. You are welcome to bring your own stones and precious metal to use.
