OUTLINE
This beginners course is the perfect platform to learn the essential 3D modelling skills to turn your ideas into beautiful designs. This course meets for 1 day each week for 6 weeks and you will learn how to create designs using a computer design program called Rhino. You will gain an understanding of the interface and the ways in which Rhino uses points, lines, surfaces and solids to create printable 3D objects as well as repetitive and complex geometric shapes to produce minimalist and elegant jewellery, all within 6 weeks.
Throughout this Beginners course, you will learn how to design up to 3 pieces of jewellery. You will take an in depth look into learning how to render, set up the user interface to create jewellery/objects ready for the 3D printer.
Course Topics include:
- Designing a range of jewellery pieces
- Turning curves and lines into solids and complex geometry through repetition
- Using text to create and engrave
- How to render visuals to professional standards with the KeyShot (Demo version)
- How to work with Digital printing companies
