Rhino CAD For Jewellers – 3 Days

OUTLINE
Modelling ideas in 3D widens the scope for jewellery designers, allowing for more intricate, elaborate and innovative designs. This 3 day beginners course is an excellent taster and the perfect introduction to the basics in 3D modelling.
During the 3 days, you will learn how to design simple jewellery pieces such as rings and pendants using the Rhino software. You will also learn how to convert your design ready for 3D printing. Once you have completed the course you can send your designs to be 3D printed and cast into your choice of metal.
This course meets one day each week over three weeks
Note: Students pay for their own 3D printing.
YOU WILL LEARN
- how to use cad software to design simple rings
- how to use key functions such as mirroring, extrude, drilling and rendering
- how to convert files for 3D printing

- design rings and pendants using Rhino software
MATERIALS
The course is taught on a PC computers
SUITABLE FOR
Those with no previous experience in designing with a CAD software however some understanding of jewellery making would be helpful.
